A real live CJ-8 in Postal livery? Neat! I didn’t know the Postal Service used Jeeps other than the DJ.

No rust + no sliding door = no Tracy.

The man will buy any Jeep so long as there is so much rust on it as to make it nearly unrecoverable

Used to see a lot of Jeep Cherokees in rural area s but have seen a lot of JK W ranglers replace them

True, but I think those are generally privately owned in the case of rural carriers and don’t have the schweet Postal livery. I saw a post on here recently that there won’t be an RHD JLs available for sale in North America, so I wonder what the rural mail carriers will drive...
My main man from back when I was growing up on Rural Route 2 drove a LHD ‘86 Taurus from the passenger seat. Elemenatary-age me was amazed by his superhuman abilities!

There was recently a DJ for sale in northwest Indiana that was still in occasional use for mail delivery, but of course it was about 5k more than David would ordinarily spend on his Jeeps.

I was always under the assumption that Jeep never sold RHD Wranglers, but the conversion was easy.
The mail lady that dropped a package off at my house a few weeks ago was driving a Liberty from the passenger seat.

Not enough rust.

I think Montana or Wyoming had some too.

I don’t doubt it. My dad’s mailbox is in town at the office in Red Lodge, MT . They do have a route number, I’m not sure if they ever had mail delivered to the end of the road. He lives in Boulder most of the time now.

They sold ‘em like that. Here’s a sticker.
